It feels like time to watch Burst City again. Maybe it's time to write something about it, a "review" or whatever.
Posting this a bit early in the day because I'm very ready to be done with it.
MTT 252 / Loop Fitting https://djcev.com/2021/12/mtt-252-loop-fitting/
An hour of mostly late '90s tracker module drum & bass. A whole bunch of XMs and ITs. This #djmix features a few well-known artists including Fanu, Krii (AKA Resound), Mav, and Twister.
Also I make a fool of myself trying to write about these tracks (but that's OK).
An hour of mostly late '90s tracker module drum & bass. All but one of these selections were rendered to .wav with OpenMPT; they were then mixed with my normal equipment. A number of well-known artists are featured, including: Fanu, Krii (AKA Resound), Mav, and Twister.
This recording includes at least one track with some profanity; please consider your surroundings when listening.
I can tell the show notes are getting spicy (and possibly off-track) when I find myself digging around in the wayback machine
An hour left of my birthday. Feeling old.
Spent the day working on and eventually recording tomorrow's mix.

Oooh, OpenMW 0.47 is now available in #freebsd ports. I've been waiting for this. It's a big upgrade over 0.46.
(OpenMW is an opensource reimplementation of the Morrowind game engine).

Got my booster today. At the Tektronix Beaverton campus, building 58, of all places. While carrying my Tektronix umbrella.
Felt like a very Oregon moment.
Defrag World Cup 2021 concluded a few weeks ago, and was a really good event! There were some pretty spicy runs. I wanted to rewatch some of the round coverage so I built the table of youtube and twitch links below. (Note that w00deh and ZERGTV also covered the cup but for the Russian-speaking audience).
Standard content warning for Quake videos: flashing lights, disorienting gameplay that may cause motion sickness.

|Round 6||DeX||Bazz||tTWPAQsqvrg||Congrats Zoot!|
Uh oh my headphone cable is starting to fail
The image nearby is a recent screenshot of my desktop. The background / wallpaper & character art pictured are from the old eroge visual novel Divi-Dead (which I played way back in high school and have been using artwork from for backgrounds ever since).
A few points of interest, things I'm happy with:
- bin/back.sh & config/redshift/hooks/background.sh & the accompanying conkyrc,
- bin/lc.sh an ls-like written in Bourne shell that does extended colorizing,
- config/herbstluftwm/autostart my herbstluftwm start script,
- fixcolors.sh which replaces terms in .fix files with values defined in a colordef.
I'll be adding more to the repo soon(ish), probably starting with my audio file management scripts.
Totally forgot that Michael McDonald is chilling in this crate too.

Thinking about that time Warren G, Nate Dogg, Brian Eno, David Byrne, and Herb Alpert all hung out

Wasn't paying attention and accidentally started upgrading Python
Now I can relax, watch tonight's ep of Critical Role, and play q3 defrag (with a not-very-good mouse).
Breaks and electro in the high 120s, some smooth and polite, some jittery and a little menacing. This mix features a couple new tracks by Audioelectronic (as remixed by Single Cell Orchestra & released on Resource Records) and Rugon (on Brokntoys).
This mix is no longer available for download from this website. It is however available at mixcloud.
Awake at 9 PM, asleep at around noon or 1 PM, non-24 sleep schedule (and/or disorder) strikes again.
It's quiet and I'm getting a lot done, which is nice.
Cleaning and fixing up my dotfiles tonight. I'd like to publish them soon; I've tried before but perfectionism has always gotten in the way.
CW: Bandcamp link, abrasive(?) music
Came upon this while clearing my inbox of bandcamp emails
The Wee DJs (AKA Being, AKA Dave Paton) absolutely wrecking pop tunes. It's both great and terrible. It's so damn funny, I can't stop laughing at it.
