Digital Video Discs. Easy to find used in my area and look OK. Better than VHS. A standard 14mm single DVD case can hold three or four additional discs in it.
Writable DVDs were my data backup media for many years. For that purpose DVD+R is superior to DVD-R, although my understanding is that both use an organic dye layer to actually store information. I've had good luck, very few of my discs have failed.
