Ah dang, I missed the first day of #Quakecon yesterday. It looks like they're doing a #QuakeChampions tournament with the players at home with two brackets (EU and US). The top three from the two brackets will compete on Sunday.

I took advantage of bandcamp day and bought a bunch of stuff. Client_03's Thought Disposal EP, the Habibi Bass EP by Cyan85 and Turk Turkelton, two new-ish miami electrobass EPs by Code Rising and Ohverclock, and most of the EON Records catalog. A whole bunch of bass. Spent way too much money.

Hoo. Okay. It's time to get psyched up for bass month.

Legowelt has been prolific this year. I somehow missed the release of "Pancakes With Mist" at the end of last month. "Shadows In The Street Life" feels particularly right for this moment, and was just linked on reddit's /r/electro.

This is on my mind because I picked up Fallout New Vegas about a week and a half ago. Spent a day getting it to work under #FreeBSD (thru Wine, it works pretty well), then spent about a week trying out different mods. Quit modding and started playing a few days ago.

I enjoy the Bethesda open-world games as, like, dress-up games. Trying different clothing mods and such. I wish the gamebryo engine had an in-game model editor so it was easy to make different outfits, body models, etc.

I like the idea of the nerevarine, or the courier from new vegas, deciding to abandon their quest and start a clothing line.
