Just finished reading "Aurora" by Kim Stanley Robinson.

Liked this one much more than New York 2140. Aurora has the same problems as 2140, I think, but the plot kept me going. And Aurora is shorter - it feels shorter, at least.

From all the tracks in the Assembly '98 list, this (in my opinion) is the jam:

I picked up two books today: "Kink" by Kathe Koja and "Traveler #5: Road War" by D.B. Drumm (AKA John Shirley).

Looking forward to both of them. "Road War" is going to be really fun and trashy. I'm not sure about "Kink" - but if it's anything like "Skin", then I'll love it.

80 BPM stuff; a lot of music from Om Unit's label Cosmic Bridge. This was a fun show but kind of sloppy.

I missed the start of it, but the Dreamhack Winter #quakechampions duel tourney is going on right now.

They're in the second semifinal, Av3k vs. Cooller. The previous game was Killsen vs. Rapha and was amazing.
