Logical Aggression @ Ground Kontrol / September 2019
Megaphysics and I played our regular monthly night at Ground Kontrol Arcade yesterday. There was no theme this time, so we riffed on what we've been listening to.

I'm headed to the arcade tonight to play music with my friend DJ Megaphysics.
Logical Aggression with Megaphysics & CEV @ Ground Kontrol Arcade #pdx 9:00 PM until close, 21 and over, $7 cover, games are set to free play.
I believe I'm up first tonight. I'm bringing a bunch of my normal selection, electro, IDM, and techno.
My ears are tired. I've been up all night selecting and arranging music for the arcade today.
It feels like time to put the headphones down and, I don't know, read a book.

I'm heading to the arcade tonight to hear my friend Proqxis play music. He plays a lot of glitchy IDM stuff, some electro. Always a good selection.
Proqxis @ Ground Kontrol Arcade #pdx 9:00 PM until close, 21 and over, no cover.
There's some good rain coming down right now in Forest Grove. It sounds nice.

I started rewatching Twin Peaks again two weeks ago. This time I've been listening to the great Diane podcast as I go. It's four superfans talking thoughtfully about (and/or seriously overthinking) the show episode-by-episode.
If you're a fan of Twin Peaks and enjoy hearing words like "liminal" and "abjection" then I recommend it:

Electro, techno, and a little weirdness at a comfortable 130.

Gyoza District / Voyage Agency
This has a whimsical sound, sort of like Eno's "Another Green World". I like it. It makes me want to clean house and then lounge around.
More fast electro, following from where the curve left off two weeks ago.

Got it.
#renoise 3.2 (Linux x64 build) running in FreeBSD thru the linux compat layer with jack (0.124.1) audio.
Thanks to RNS 3.2's scalable fonts (and interface), I can finally use the program without squinting or leaning forward.
Looks like I should up the font size some more.

So I ran into this: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=230460
Virtualbox (specifically the emulators/virtualbox-ose-kmod port) panics the kernel unless you enable the VIMAGE port option on #freebsd 12 and later. Took a few minutes to figure that out.
Fun fun fun.

I have to re-install VirtualBox so I can build a CentOS 7 X64 VM so I can compile the jack-audio-connection-kit version 1 for that platform.
So that I can take that jackd build and install it in my local FreeBSD system's linux compat layer so that audio will work in Renoise 3.2 .
Guh.
