Available Feeds
This website provides a few different feeds, or syndication URLs,
that readers can subscribe to. My static site compiler Blogofile generates
RSS and Atom feeds for the main blog and each blog "category";
these are refreshed whenever I upload my site and are limited to the 10 most
recent entries (for file size & bandwidth reasons). These feeds can be
found in the list below:
There's also a special podcast-style RSS feed for
Movement Through Thought episodes. Subscribe to this if you want
the mixes and a minimum amount of my sketchy writing.
Clients, Feed Readers
I currently use Newsboat as my reader and have used
Tiny Tiny RSS in the past. The most famous (now defunct) reader
is probably Google Reader.
I've noticed some traffic coming to my site from a neat modernized feed
subscriber called Fraidycat. This seems like a good option
if you're on a platform that supports it and you want to follow a lot of
stuff.
Upgraded to FreeBSD 12.3 yesterday & spent some time wrestling with third-party software.
I got tired enough of waiting for ports to compile that I switched back to using binary packages.
Posting this mix a bit early in the day so I can go to sleep.
Electro, house, techno; relatively warm music this week. 120 rising a bit
to 125. Mostly old tunes, though there's a new-ish short piece in here
by dbacon (Dave Paton) and a new-ish nice ambient track by Neotex
(Neocortex?) on Trnch Music.

however available at mixcloud.
Morning sounds
Thx to H. M. for the link.
Used up the last ballpoint pen I have this morning, so I switched back to mechanical pencil. I have an old set of Pentel 120 A3DX pencils that I like a lot. Way better writing experience compared to cheap Papermate ballpoints.
Backup day. A combination of rsync and pax | split
aimed at an old FAT32 formatted 1tb pocket-size external hard drive.
It's about time to invest in a second backup device. Another external hard drive, probably.
Electro and techno, ~130. A slightly fishy sound. Mostly old selections;
this mix features tracks from the labels Brokntoys,
Cultivated Electronics, and Drivecom.

I've been watching old episodes of Elvira's Movie Macabre today. Less watching, more listening while pretending to program. Movie Macabre aired a bunch of neat low-budget '70s horror films, something I wish I knew more about.
Spent a bunch of time today and yesterday fiddling with my website. I seem to be unintentionally recreating the features and some of the look of Blogger in the late 2000s. Not sure why.
Watching Demon City Shinjuku again for the first time in ages
A. I'd forgotten how good this movie looks, B. This was definitely written by Hideyuki Kikuchi, and C. Mephisto's monologue (the dub version) is still glorious.
Fast (high 130s) breaks and electro today, featuring new(ish) tracks from
Particle Music, Scape One, and Warning Berlin. A
little rowdy, a little tough.

Late Night Sounds
MFS & Tresor techno-trance classic. Came to mind a few moments ago while flipping through tracks.
Picked up a couple new singles and EPs today, spent some time mixing, came up with a pretty hilarious run of tracks. From old dubstep to new techno-breaks to Torsten Profrock. Snares on 12. Good times.
Tracker downtempo and IDM for this last show of 2021. Four tracks from the
netlabel Language Lab, three from Rebound, and two from
Milk. A couple of long (7 minute plus) tracks.
Right-click save-as here or on the spectrogram above to download
this mix. This mix is also available at mixcloud.
