Here's four links to electro-ish / freestyle-ish Lil Jon
productions and remixes uploaded to youtube.
A week or so ago I was watching DJ Magic Mike spin
on twitch and he played a track that sent me
on this journey. I have a copy of Lil Jon & Lathun's version of
Play At Your Own Risk (pictured top left) but I'd never gone
looking for other tracks he produced in a similar style. This
helpful comment from DJ KDM pointed me in the right
direction and provided most of the video links you see above.
I think I might go through Lil Jon's back catalog, see if I can put
together a set of his (and maybe other Atlanta producer's) electro /
bass / freestyle tracks.
I have a weirdly difficult time handwriting hyphens and dashes, and so years ago I stopped using them as separators. I find it much easier to write forward slashes; I prefer "Artist / Title" instead of "Artist - Title" for example.
That's why you see slashes all over my website, my notes, etc. . It sometimes gets me into trouble with automated systems expecting dashes.
140 BPM electro & techno. New tracks by My Boyfriend and
MachineFunk plus a bunch of old tracks including some long ones
by Drexciya, Ectomorph, and Silicon Scally.

Cleaning up my bookmarks and moving them over to my website. Lotta old stuff to remove, lotta questionable stuff to remove too.
I had hoped to do more writing this month but that didn't happen. Didn't quite work out.
Got some fun web stuff done though. That was nice.
IDM and some twitchy drum & bass today. Slow-ish, and then fast-ish.
This mix features long tracks by Brothomstates, Metamatics,
Plaid, and Scape One.

Took the train into Portland today for the first time in six months or more.
Downtown felt quiet. That could've been due to the time of day, and I was only there for a few minutes, but still felt a little odd.
Saw a lot of changes. Shops closed, buildings that were in progress are now finished. World keeps moving I guess.
The python cryptography module requires rust to build. This makes me sad.
Available Feeds
This website provides a few different feeds, or syndication URLs,
that readers can subscribe to. My static site compiler Blogofile generates
RSS and Atom feeds for the main blog and each blog "category";
these are refreshed whenever I upload my site and are limited to the 10 most
recent entries (for file size & bandwidth reasons). These feeds can be
found in the list below:
There's also a special podcast-style RSS feed for
Movement Through Thought episodes. Subscribe to this if you want
the mixes and a minimum amount of my sketchy writing.
Clients, Feed Readers
I currently use Newsboat as my reader and have used
Tiny Tiny RSS in the past. The most famous (now defunct) reader
is probably Google Reader.
I've noticed some traffic coming to my site from a neat modernized feed
subscriber called Fraidycat. This seems like a good option
if you're on a platform that supports it and you want to follow a lot of
stuff.
Upgraded to FreeBSD 12.3 yesterday & spent some time wrestling with third-party software.
I got tired enough of waiting for ports to compile that I switched back to using binary packages.
Posting this mix a bit early in the day so I can go to sleep.
Electro, house, techno; relatively warm music this week. 120 rising a bit
to 125. Mostly old tunes, though there's a new-ish short piece in here
by dbacon (Dave Paton) and a new-ish nice ambient track by Neotex
(Neocortex?) on Trnch Music.

however available at mixcloud.
Morning sounds
Thx to H. M. for the link.
Used up the last ballpoint pen I have this morning, so I switched back to mechanical pencil. I have an old set of Pentel 120 A3DX pencils that I like a lot. Way better writing experience compared to cheap Papermate ballpoints.
Backup day. A combination of rsync and pax | split
aimed at an old FAT32 formatted 1tb pocket-size external hard drive.
It's about time to invest in a second backup device. Another external hard drive, probably.
Electro and techno, ~130. A slightly fishy sound. Mostly old selections;
this mix features tracks from the labels Brokntoys,
Cultivated Electronics, and Drivecom.
