The weather report says it's 86 F in Hillsboro (Oregon) right now but it feels hotter. Curious to see if it gets up to the projected 98 F.

Miami Bass. Florida Electro. Old car audio bass CDs. This one is probably Not Safe For Work - it doesn't get raunchy, but almost. I'm sure some profanity snuck through.

Orb Magazine interview (conversation?) with Sync 24 and Maelstrom:
Finding and reading this really improved my day. I'm glad modern #electro is getting attention in the music press.

And now I've got to shelve about 50 records. There's a crazy mess on my floor...
Downtempo, instrumental hiphop, ambient, etc. Swampy beats.

Logical Aggression, the night DJ Megaphysics and I host at Ground Kontrol, was yesterday. I played after Megaphysics; here's what my set contained:

It's the last Wednesday again - Megaphysics and I are playing music at Ground Kontrol arcade in #PDX tonight. Logical Aggression @ GK 2018/07/25 9:00 PM PST until close. Games are on free play tonight, so there's a $5 cover.
I'm bringing a stack of '80s electro and some of the disco I was playing on anonradio this month.
If you come down to GK and see me, say hello. I should take a new picture...

The Backlisted Podcast just put up an episode discussing The Return of the King. (The third Lord of the Rings book, to be clear).
Backlisted typically covers overlooked literary fiction, so this episode was a surprise to find in my feed reader this morning. It's one of my favorite podcasts, always worth the time. And for once I've read the book they're talking about.
Electro. House? Some music I've been holding on to for quite a while.

I just finished reading "Autonomous" by Annalee Newitz.
There were a lot of interesting sci-fi ideas packed into its 300 pages. (Biotech, robot (& human) autonomy, freedom of information, etc.) It frequently made me uncomfortable, but in a way that inspired me to think, not to put the book down.
I enjoyed reading it, and I'm enjoying thinking about it now.
Disco. House? Another CBS-inspired show.

518,500 in Strikers 1945 tonight. Made it about three quarters of the way through stage 6.
I wish I had a good portable camera.

Finished reading "Zero History" by William Gibson today. I liked it, as I expected. Over the last four months I've read all three "Blue Ant" books and enjoyed them all. Not sure how I'd rank them.
Thinking back on all three, I particularly like the size, scope, and pacing of each story. They're relatively "small" and fast-paced, I think.
At some point I'm going to have to re-read the "Bridge" trilogy.
I'm still awake at 5:30 AM. Now I know my sleep schedule is screwed.
Ugh.
A stack of '90s breakbeats. From all over the map, all mashed together.
