There's a nice crescent moon out this morning. Easy to see, too: clear skies from Beaverton to Forest Grove. Was a happy surprise walking home from the bus.'s avatar image // / 101508721693084536 Origin link. Source file.

Re-watched Johnny Guitar tonight. Love this movie, particularly the dialog. And the way the story hangs together. It just flies by, not a wasted moment.

Still image from the film Johnny Guitar (1954), pictured are Joan Crawford as Vienna and Sterling Hayden as Johnny Guitar, both standing on a bridge's avatar image // / 101447210766161596 Origin link. Source file.

I finished reading "Void Star" by Zachary Mason today. I liked it! The best descriptor I can think of is "post-cyberpunk", but that's probably an oversimplification.

It's written in a dreamlike, slightly complicated style, which I enjoyed. There were many references to classical mythology, mainly Greek, most of which I'm sure I missed. I think it's a book that will reward multiple readings.'s avatar image // / 101441226509034573 Origin link. Source file.

Old Rephlex and Warp, Metamatics, etc. Wonky breaks, electro, and IDM. I mistimed the ending a bit, but other than that, it's good. Good enough.'s avatar image // / 101398127993489042 Origin link. Source file.

Movement Through Thought on starts in 30 minutes. The program airs every Friday 6:30 to 7:30 UTC.

More mid-2000s and 2010s electro tonight. Digital Distortions, Kracktronic, Touchin' Bass, some other bits and pieces. Some of the noisier, slightly glitchy music from that time.

Went down to the arcade tonight, scored about 510,000 in 1945. Made it to stage 6. A good game, considering I hadn't played in over a month.'s avatar image // / 101345122513952654 Origin link. Source file.

I read 22 books last year. Yaaay. Will try to read at least two a month this year. That seems like a comfortable pace.
