Movement Through Thought on might (?) start in 30 minutes.

Anonradio has been having problems switching to programmed feeds today, so if you still hear robot DJ Kumata after 06:30 UTC then it isn't happening.

I'm dead tired, but I've lined up some downtempo and slow breakbeat-y things anyway. And an old Fluke track.

Logical Aggression @ Ground Kontrol / December 2018

Logical Aggression at Ground Kontrol was last night. DJ Megaphysics was out of town, so I played music from 9 PM until close. The selection was a mixture of MTT 095 and 094, plus some tracks that were in my notes for those shows but didn't make the cut for radio.

Not too much to say beyond that. It was a good night. I wish demoscene mods sounded better loud on a big system...

I'm DJing at Ground Kontrol arcade in Portland OR tonight. Megaphysics is out of town so it's just me from 9 PM until close. The games are set to free play so there's a $5 cover.

I plan to knit together my last few radio shows. Lots of tracker mods, breakbeat, electro, a little ambient. I hope the mods sound alright on their system.

It was my birthday yesterday.

I watched Diabolique (1955) and then ate too much cake. Feeling some mixture of satisfied and melancholy.

Diabolique was great. I've wanted to see it for years.

My show on , Movement Through Thought, starts in 30 minutes.

I'm playing music tonight! Selections from the 1990s Assembly music competitions, the Emissions 3 musicdisks, the Five Musicians catalog, Eerik Inpuj Sound, and others.

I only do this once a year (because it's way too much work...) and it's tonight.

Why do I think DJing tracker mods is a good idea?

Every year I do this, and every year it turns out to be way more work than I expected.

Lyrics part 2:

We are the children, the children of creation
And we live in your atomic nation
You have the power, the power to give
And you show us the right way to live
Know your truth, we accept your wisdom
And we shall die for your electric kingdom
Accept your words without hesitation
We are the children of the atomic nation

I am the king, and you are my creation
I am the ruler of the atomic nation

I am the king of the electric kingdom
Accept my words without hesitation
I am the ruler of the atomic nation

Movement Through Thought on starts in 30 minutes. It airs every Friday 06:30 to 07:30 UTC.

Electro and IDM tonight, nothing too unusual if you've been listening to my show. Running out some favorites - Radioactive Man, Atomic Nation, Blastromen...

Just finished reading "Aurora" by Kim Stanley Robinson.

Liked this one much more than New York 2140. Aurora has the same problems as 2140, I think, but the plot kept me going. And Aurora is shorter - it feels shorter, at least.

~140 module files downloaded then renamed (thank you ZEPOINFO.TXT).

46 picked out and rendered to .flac with OpenMPT. Then tagged, replaygain-ed, etc.

Done with Assembly 1998.

Movement Through Thought on starts in 30 minutes. My program airs every Friday 6:30 to 7:30 UTC.

I don't have a strong plan tonight. I have some ~130 BPM electro lined up but I feel like going off-script.

Might play a bit of Ultravox.

I picked up two books today: "Kink" by Kathe Koja and "Traveler #5: Road War" by D.B. Drumm (AKA John Shirley).

Looking forward to both of them. "Road War" is going to be really fun and trashy. I'm not sure about "Kink" - but if it's anything like "Skin", then I'll love it.

Tracklist for Movement Through Thought on 2018-11-30:

and at :

Direct link to the recording:

80 BPM stuff; a lot of music from Om Unit's label Cosmic Bridge. This was a fun show but kind of sloppy.

Apologies for posting the tracklist so late. I overextended myself last week and have spent the last few days recovering.
