My copy still has the receipt with it, says I purchased it in November 2002.

I remember being really confused by it at the time but thinking it was super funky. Being drawn to it in spite of (or because of) how weird it was.'s avatar image // / 110884418372718067 Origin link. Source file. This is a reply.

CW: re: Quakecon 2023, QC Tournament, Results

Rapha took it 4-1 over Raisy yesterday in the grand finals. That's about what I expected. Raisy put up a good fight & I'm glad he took a map off Rapha. Was a good tournament overall. I might go back and watch the matches I missed.

Rapha too strong on LAN, id Software please nerf Rapha.'s avatar image // / 110878808131023810 Origin link. Source file.

CW: Quakecon 2023, QC Tournament

Some very good games today so far. Zenaku in particular played really well versus K1llsen and Vengeurr. I was cheering for Zenaku, he came really close to taking down Vengeurr. (And I usually root for the Australian players anyway).

Next up is the lower bracket finals, Raisy vs Vengeurr. Rapha will play the winner of that match in the grand finals.

Stream's at ; they're in-between matches right now.'s avatar image // / 110872354745038594 Origin link. Source file.

CW: Quakecon 2023, Quake Champions Tourney

First set of the upper bracket quarter finals done, Rapha vs Nosfa. Rapha is looking strong, his reads against Nosfa (and Dandaking earlier) were good and his aim is on point. He's been the player to beat for years so that's not a surprise. I'd love to see someone take him down tomorrow, or at least really challenge him.

Next match on the main stream is K1llsen vs Maxter, should be a good one.'s avatar image // / 110866910735793430 Origin link. Source file. This is a reply.

The yearly tournaments at Quakecon are kind of my superbowl. I don't post about it much because I don't want to be annoying but I love competitive Quake.'s avatar image // / 110815246261633155 Origin link. Source file. This is a reply.

I like digging for old or overlooked music, promoting new artists, and finding (+ demonstrating) the connections between tracks. Those are (some of) the reasons I do what I do, the things I'm interested in, what keeps me going.

I've reached a point now where I'm just too broke to buy music, to dig. Without an influx of new or different tracks to play I've started repeating myself a lot in recent months. I'm not interested in playing the same set over and over, at least not in this format, and so that means it's time to do something else. Hopefully I can find a source of income & then return to DJing in one form or another.'s avatar image // / 110815237375978477 Origin link. Source file.

Hey all, I'm putting my mix series "MTT" on pause until at least August 2024. I'm taking a year off to rest & recharge, dig for music, and to make a serious attempt at writing some new music myself.

I'm going to record and release the sets I had planned up through #335 so a few more are coming but then there'll be an extended break.
