Blu-ray Discs. A pretty good format for
video & data storage I think. Same physical dimensions as a CD (and
DVD), stores between 25 and 100 gigabytes (depending on layer count),
reasonably durable.
Recordable HTL discs
use an inorganic write layer and so should (hopefully) last longer than
writable DVDs. (Make sure your discs are HTL!)
I don't have many officially released movies on bluray; maybe someday.
Mostly I use them for data backup and storage purposes.
