Going over the new tracks this hour we've got #6 Broken Circle by Cignol from last year, #9 Polyhedron Sphere by Stratos Zero also from last year, and #11 Detronic by Paradox released a few months ago. The Cignol tune is the one slow(er) piece on the excellent Binary Choices EP. The second of those two is a Mitch Murder side project, more chill and less synthwave-y than his usual.
Paradox's Detronic is something special. That's track two on SNKR040, Paradox's second release for Sneaker Social Club (the first being Octa 4, Proceed). Hazy crackling dubbed out chords, bass, pads, and a breakbeat to tie it together. It's a wonderful combination & a beautiful track. I've got it running pretty slow to fit here (-6% give or take) so check out the full release to hear it unaltered (and track 1 Breakbeater is really good too).
Track #10 Moment II by As If from the Moments 7 inch on Rohs Records is another piece worth highlighting. Another pretty unique track, slow, dubby, weird acid. It rolls along for nearly 7 minutes in its original form. (I step on it a bit here with Detronic). Again both sides of that release are excellent & I recommend checking it out at the link above.
That's all I can think of to say right now, writing off the top of my head. These tracks & releases are all good so check the links if you want to hear more. I'll be back next week with another mix, something slower or maybe faster, haven't really figured it out yet. 'till then.
