MTT300 Spectrogram

Downtempo & IDM tunes at ~98. I didn't have any special plans for #300 & I felt like hanging out with some comfortable head-nodding music. This mix features a few tracks by Push Button Objects and Takeshi Muto as well as long ones by Drøn, Metamatics, RS3, and more.

The one new track in this hour is #2 Voices by Noise Appreciation Crew from the Cottage Industries 11 compilation on Neo Ouija. I mentioned these comps last week and I'm still sorting through them, figuring out how to play the tracks. I think it's well-known the Cottage Industries series is great but I'll say it again: they're excellent, go check them out.

Track #7 Somekind by Metamatics is from their LP SpookTinselShoal released on Hydrogen Dukebox in 2000. I must have picked that up not long after it was released 'cause I've had it forever and love it to bits. My first Metamatics I think. Surprisingly difficult to work into a mix though (at least for me). One of these days I need to play Dayglo Tinsel in a set.

300 is a big number. I definitely did not think I'd make it this far, still be putting out mixes. Five years was my initial goal; I have another in mind, another goal, but it's going to take some doing to get there. One step at a time, I guess. Anyway I'll do my best to be back next week with another mix, something fast.

(Writing this up quick because I'm six hours late...)
