- "H is for Homicide", Sue Grafton, 1991, read by Mary Peiffer. The alphabet mystery novels continue to be good! Slight, maybe, but good. This one has Kinsey Millhone go undercover to investigate an automotive insurance fraud ring. (One of the less plausible premises so far). I liked some of the realistic crime business in this - crooked doctors, "swoop and squat", etc. . I'm looking forward to "I is for Innocent", the next in the series.
- "G is for Gumshoe", Sue Grafton, 1990, read by Mary Peiffer. I've listened to most of these on audiobook up thru this point (may have missed one, not sure) & have enjoyed them all so far. This one has a twisty story (as expected) and an explosive, satisfying end. Good stuff, exactly what I wanted from a private detective / mystery novel.

- "The Big Sleep", Raymond Chandler, 1939, read by Elliot Gould. I've read this before (of course) and even listened to this audiobook version before. Gould recorded a series of Chandler/Marlowe readings in the early 2000s that are all good; I really like Gould as Marlowe. The Big Sleep, Farewell My Lovely, and Playback are unabridged, the rest are abridged. Listened a little absently this time while working on something.
